from Bozette on 07/03/2015 10:09 PMI find history fascinating, it all interests me. Currently I am most engrossed in the events between just prior to the DOI and those following the Civil War. So much happened during that century that directly affects us today, and so few are really aware of those events. Most people know only a basic timeline of the big events, not the background or all the other things that occurred that weren't really covered in school...or the implications of a lot of those things.

from Gregaj7 on 07/04/2015 02:57 AMKnowing that most known history is "adjusted" for the sake of those wanting to control the outcome of history, my 'take' on it isn't amongst the norm.

from Freeranger on 07/05/2015 09:39 PMOne of the most compelling, and personally fascinating to me was a book I read over the Winter about Robert Rogers who created Roger's Rangers. Holy crap.....fighting in the snow on snowshoes with tomahawks and flintlocks?
