Re: Do you look older, younger or look like your own age?
from RogueLoner on 06/10/2015 11:15 PMThe answer to that is in the eye of the beholder. That's why I have a dog. He doesn't care what I look like.

If you don't want to vote, DON'T complain
from DutchHeretic on 06/10/2015 10:38 PMNote, this goes for BOTH sides

When I have as discussion politics here in the Netherlands and there are several political parties in the Netherlands to talk about it is not much different as what is happening in the USA believe me.
Everyone is complaining.
So when I ask "which party did you vote for" the answer is mostly "I didn't go to vote"
notice: Voting in the Netherlands is very simple, you receive a personalized voter card in the mail and wit that you can vote, that's all.
I ask "why not? it only takes a few minutes and it is always in walking distance" And the reply is always "it makes no difference anyway"
Then I cannot help to say "Than stop whining! If you don't vote, you have no right to complain"
And it really frustrating that the supporters of the parties that ruin our country DO vote..
Sometimes I think,

"if you don't want to vote, you deserve the rotten government you get" ..
Re: Which policy failure will Barrack Obama be most remembered for(please be specific), and is there any fixing his legacy this late in the game?
from Cat on 06/10/2015 10:34 PMAs strange as it sounds, he will be able to hang his hat on Obamacare.
Even though it was a terrible plan and designed to gradually force us into a single-payer plan, and even though it's innitial introduction was a digital nightmare (aka "train wreck") the cat is now out of the bag. No longer will a major portion of Americans go uninsured.
I don't believe that future congresses will allow us to fall into a rationed single payer system with quotas and death panels. Neither will they repeal the entire AHC act without first having a replacement for it So their only options will be to improve on the (Obamacare) system we now have or replace it entirely with a better plan. Either way, Obama will be remembered as the president who made it happen.
