Compared to the US they have a greater percentage of manufacturing than we do by ratio. They educate, they teach skills, they have a different way of doing things than we do and it works. In terms of wealth, Germany is in the top of wealthy countries. They don't have the problems we do because they educate their young. They pay for it and it costs them, but ulltimately they have the benefit of skilled workers where we do not and have to give a massive amount of L1 visas to other countrymen to fill our hi-tech jobs because we're too stupid to invest in our youth, unlike Germany. America likes to play the richest country thing, but they're only rich by luring the smartest people from abroad. How come those people are so smart and skilled? Because their countries (unlike ours) invest in them.
