from Marianne on 06/17/2015 05:49 PMThat depends of the degree of fright; a certain level of respect is part of the natural instinct, as bears can have dangerous reactions, and they run much faster than humans - feeling themselves in danger, defending their territory, their food, fighting rivals or intruders, and females guarding their cubs.
And if the fear drives the person into uncontrollable panicking, only a therapy can help, and that starts with learning how to control the fear. And remember, bears are no pets, don't feed them and keep at a safe distance. A grizzly is not the same as a peaceful koala and even the small, cuddly animals can bite and scratch if not handled properly.
Maybe that the shy Kermode bear - usually seen from far - could help for a therapy under the supervision of an expert, of course.
