First come my friends, acquaintances and contacts.

Then, some wonderful messages, poems, words of wisdom, fine humour and chats.

I am still actively researching my many lost friends!

Connecting with people on SodaHead. I hope the people that I will never connect with again are doing okay.

Agreed with all of you guys.

Personally, my favorite site feature was the customability with which I had on my page....but what I will miss most now is all of the people with which I had formed close connections with. I am beyond annoyed that they did this, and when I asked them why they'd done it on Facebook, they gave me a rude response. I was a loyal supporter, I would send them compliments from time to time, and worked my hardest to keep the site alive. I regret it all now.

I will miss all of the unique terms (rave, happenings). I will miss the formatting. I will miss posting pictures and gifs. I will miss the frequent friendly and rude debates. I will miss the easy communication with tech support. I will miss creating clever questions. I will miss expressing my opinion. I will even miss the leaderboard. But most of all, I will miss all of the strong connections I made with people with whom I will never speak to again.

It's a weird business decision.  They had a small army of people (consumers) visiting the site, clicking ads, creating content--all because we could voice our opinions and chat.  This was an economically valuable asset, and they just tore it all up, along with good will and a generally useful community resource for the web.

Yeah, I'm pissed that I've suddenly been disconnected from folks I now have no way of reaching.  I might be a little less pissed if there'd been some rationality or consideration in the decision.  They could have just sold the web site/membership roll instead of shutting it down.

Once the word gets out.....I'm pretty confident the stragglers will start to arrive.  Stay tuned.  Hard to believe...I think I was on the original for 5 yrs. or so...and then pffffft!

Very mad that they didn't give us a heads up so we could all exchange email addresses etc.  IMO pretty chicken guano of them
