I suppose that these cubs are striped skunks - I remember some rather funny and interesting anecdotes from animal documentations.
Re: Has your computer or browser ever been locked by an FBI or Police virus?
from Lady on 06/09/2015 03:21 PMHasn't happened to me yest, but probably will because there are new Internet changes coming June 12th. We conservatives will all be censored or shut down I think. Here is what is most likely happening this Friday:
"... A Nationalized Communications Industry, In Which The Government Builds, Owns, And Operates Not Only The Internet But Newspapers And Television As Well."
–Larry Downes, Forbes
Barack Obama's Internet Takeover goes into effect on June 12... just days from now... and time is running short to stop it.
Even the media establishment is starting to realize what you have known for far too long. So-called Net Neutrality was NEVER solely about the allocation of bandwidth "fairly" across the Internet and it goes far beyond simply giving the Obama Regime the power to pick winners and losers on the information superhighway.
The name of the game was always to control the Internet and ultimately the content that you will be allowed to see and post on the Internet.
And in a matter of a few days from now, we could be headed down that dangerous path unless the Republican-controlled Congress brings Representative Marsha Blackburn's Internet Freedom Act, H.R. 1212, to the floor of the House and Senate and passes it BEFORE THE OBAMA-FCC ORDER GOES INTO EFFECT ON JUNE 12.Lady - formerly SH Eastedie
Re: Do you accept Jason Feffer's reason for disabling the user login on SH?
from ProudSaul on 06/09/2015 03:17 PMI don't get the impression that Fef actually cared about the "community" but was only concerned with money. If he cared about the people who spent so much time on the site he would at least have given everyone a few weeks' notice so that people could exchange email addresses, perhaps mend a few fences, etc.
Ah well, water under the bridge, I suppose. It was fun while it lasted.

Re: Do you accept Jason Feffer's reason for disabling the user login on SH?
from JohnT on 06/09/2015 03:17 PMThe reason for closing or going in a different direction is up to the business, how they do it is another thing. Very unprofessional
handling of people that were in essecience providing them the poll data. A very clumsy, and awkard way to bring a end to the site.
I belonged to Lycos and Excite which both had user group boards. They gave us about two weeks before they shut down. Smartcomputing transitioned from a magazine and online help group to a online magazine and that was a outhouse mess as this has been. The owner Sandhills publishing went out of business less than a year later because the people they treated poorly canceled their subscriptions and never did go to the online site. Some of these genisues never figure that the new owner may not want the data they provide especially if it is negative thus buy them out and then fold them, write it off as a business loss. It happens all the time.
Re: What kind of toppings do you enjoy on your pizza?
from Kat on 06/09/2015 03:08 PMGround beef, pepperoni, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, cheese x2 , black olives. I have had some very good BBQ pizza, nd one with ham, pineapple and onion. Really depends on mood.
Re: Sweet n sour chicken or Sesame chicken??
from Kat on 06/09/2015 03:05 PMBoth are good. I usually don't eat them. Usually a Vietnamese soup or Mongolian beef.
