from Freeranger on 06/04/2015 11:40 PMLost my "guru" bracelet in the race for the life boat. Hah! I am sad however that, as someone else said, bunches of people have lost each other, and their good memories. I think I'm more pissed, in it's explanation that SH sold out to Corporate America.

They had a small army of people (consumers) visiting the site, clicking ads, creating content--all because we could voice our opinions and chat. This was an economically valuable asset, and they just tore it all up, along with good will and a generally useful community resource for the web.
Yeah, I'm pissed that I've suddenly been disconnected from folks I now have no way of reaching. I might be a little less pissed if there'd been some rationality or consideration in the decision. They could have just sold the web site/membership roll instead of shutting it down.
